These lovable giants have captured the hearts of many cat enthusiasts with their striking features and playful nature. Tassel Castle Maine Coons, a cattery based in Indiana, Loves working with the polydactyl Maine Coons especially! This trait really adds to their unique and large appearance.
Example of 'Pattie Paws'
Polydactyl is a genetic trait found in some Maine Coons, where they have extra toes on their paws. This unique feature sets them apart from other cats and adds to their charm. Tassel Castle Maine Coons is proud to showcase these adorable Polydactyl kittens, giving cat lovers the opportunity to learn more about this fascinating mutation.
Example of 'Thumbs'
Tassel Castle is working with Polydactyl in both Mitten and Patty Paws. We also have the standard style Maine Coon paws as well. Mittens Paws is an added 'thumb' and Patty Paws is 6-7 toes on the front rather than 5 and there can also be extra toes on the back as well making a total of 5-7 toes rather than 4. This is such an a cute trait and those big feet are totally adorable, but they can provide some benefits too. With wider paws they are able to balance on various surfaces much better!
